Twilio Elastic SIP Trunking
This guide connects a Twilio Elastic SIP trunk to Live Hub. Complete the following steps:
- Create a SIP connection in Live Hub.
- Configure Twilio Elastic SIP Trunking.
- Update the SIP connection in Live Hub.
Create a SIP connection in Live Hub
To create the SIP connection that represents your Twilio Elastic SIP Trunking account:

Log in to Live Hub.

In the Navigation pane, select SIP connections, and then click Add new SIP connection.

Select the General tab:

Under General:
- In the 'Name' field, enter a unique SIP connection name (for example, Twilio).
- From the 'Provider type' drop-down list, select SIP Trunk.
- From the 'Provider' drop-down list, select Twilio SIP Trunk.

Under Security:
- From the 'Encryption' drop-down list, select Enabled.

Generate a username and password that authenticate the connection between Twilio SIP Trunking and Live Hub.
- The username must be at least 12 characters long and contain an uppercase character, a lowercase character, a digit, and a special character (._-)
- The password must be at least 12 characters long and contain an uppercase character, a lowercase character, a digit, and a special character (~!@#$%^&*_-+=`|(){}[]:;"'<>,.?/)

Save the generated
{username}and{password}. You need them when you provision the Twilio Elastic SIP Trunking account. -
Under Registration and authentication:
- Under Credentials, enter the generated
{username}and{password}.
- Under Credentials, enter the generated

Select the Incoming tab:

Under Authentication:
- Select the 'FQDN (Request-URI)' check box, and then copy the 'SIP connection FQDN' value that appears. You need this value when you configure Elastic SIP Trunking in your Twilio account.
- Select the 'Source IP address' check box.

Select the Info tab:

Under Addresses:
- Copy the 'ADDRESS' value for the entry where 'TYPE' is Signaling and 'PROTOCOL' is udp. This value is the signaling IP address of Live Hub, and you need it when you configure Elastic SIP Trunking in your Twilio account.

Click Create.
Configure Twilio Elastic SIP Trunking
To configure Elastic SIP Trunking in your Twilio account:

Log in to your Twilio account.

Go to CONSOLE > Elastic SIP Trunking.

In the navigation pane, select Manage > Trunks.

Click Create new SIP Trunk.

Enter the name for your new SIP trunk, for example AudioCodes Live Hub.

In the General section:
- For 'Secure Trunking', select Enabled.
- For 'Call Transfer (SIP REFER)', select Enabled.
- Select the 'Enable PSTN Transfer' check box.

In the Termination section:
-
For 'Termination URI SIP', enter a unique domain name prefix that identifies outgoing calls from Live Hub. Copy the complete SIP URI for later use: it includes both the configured domain name prefix and the fixed Twilio suffix, for example
audc-vaic.pstn.twilio.com. -
Under Authentication:

For 'IP Access Control Lists', click the plus (+) button to create a new Access Control List.

Enter a friendly name for the Access Control List.

For 'CIDR NETWORK ADDRESS':
- Enter the signaling IP address of Live Hub, taken from the entry under Addresses on the Info tab of the SIP connection where 'TYPE' is Signaling and 'PROTOCOL' is udp.
- Select 32 for the prefix length.

Click Create ACL.

For 'Create Credential List', click the plus (+) button to create a new Credential List.
- Enter a friendly name for the Credential List.
- For 'USERNAME' and 'PASSWORD', enter the same values that you configured under Credentials on the General tab of the Live Hub SIP connection.
- Click Create.

In the Origination section:

For 'Origination URI', click the plus button to create a new Origination URL.

For 'Origination SIP URI', enter
sip:{sipConnectionFqdn}:5061;transport=tls, where{sipConnectionFqdn}is the Live Hub 'SIP connection FQDN' value shown on the Incoming tab of the SIP connection. -
Click Add.

In the Numbers section:
- Click Add a number, and then select one of the provided options.
Update the SIP connection in Live Hub
To update the Outgoing settings of the SIP connection in Live Hub:

Log in to Live Hub.

In the Navigation pane, select SIP connections, and then select the SIP connection that you created earlier.

Select the Outgoing tab:

Under Outgoing:
- In the 'SIP server hostname' field, enter the Twilio SIP Trunking Termination
SIP URI, for example
audc-vaic.pstn.twilio.com.
- In the 'SIP server hostname' field, enter the Twilio SIP Trunking Termination
SIP URI, for example

Under Addresses, change the 'ADDRESS' value to the Twilio SIP Trunking Termination SIP URI, for example
audc-vaic.pstn.twilio.com.

Click Update.
